Services / Backup & Disaster Recovery

Recovery you have
already rehearsed.

Veeam, Zerto and Azure Site Recovery, designed around how fast each system must come back and how much data you can lose, then proved with tests on a schedule.

Backup & Disaster Recovery

What we do

Backup and recovery designed together, because a backup you cannot restore in time is not a recovery plan.

Technology

Platforms we work with

  • Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Veeam immutable repositories
  • Zerto
  • Azure Site Recovery
  • Arcserve UDP
  • Veritas Backup Exec
  • Acronis
  • NetApp SnapMirror
  • Microsoft 365 backup
  • object storage with object lock

Zerto and Veeam designed and supported for MSP customers; Backup Exec to Veeam and tape to cloud migrations delivered in-house; Azure Site Recovery used to build a continuously replicated DR site in the cloud.

How an engagement runs

Five steps, written down

Every engagement follows the same steps, with written plans and a rollback for each change.

  1. 01AssessUnderstand your goals, environment and challenges.
  2. 02ArchitectDesign the right solution for your needs.
  3. 03MigratePlan and execute with minimal disruption.
  4. 04OptimiseImprove performance, resilience and cost efficiency.
  5. 05SupportOngoing expertise to keep you secure and ahead.

Deliverables

What you receive

Backups used to fill rooms. They now fit in a bucket in another region, which makes it easier to forget to test them. Every engagement ends with documents and code you own.

  • A recovery tier for every system, agreed with the business
  • Backup and replication design, built and documented
  • A recovery runbook per tier
  • A DR test plan and the first test report
  • A list of gaps in order of risk

FAQ

Questions we hear

What is the difference between RPO and RTO?

RPO is how much data you can afford to lose, measured back from the failure. RTO is how long you can be without the system. Backups usually give hours of RPO; replication such as Zerto gives seconds.

Do we need Zerto if we have Veeam?

Not always. Veeam replication is enough for many systems. Zerto earns its cost where seconds of data loss and a fast, orchestrated failover matter.

Can you host our DR site?

No. We design and test DR to the target you choose: your second site, a hosted provider or Azure.
